I AM A DOCUMENTARY LIFESTYLE PHOTOGRAPHER SPECIALIZING IN WEDDINGS, COUPLES, SMALL FAMILIES, AND BOUDOIR! I AM ORIGINALLY FROM SMALL-TOWN IOWA, BUT I HAVE BEEN SO FORTUNATE TO HAVE GONE TO SCHOOL IN VIRGINIA (WHERE I MET MY SWEET HUSBAND, HUNTER), THEN NORTH CAROLINA WHILE HUNTER WAS IN THE ARMY, AND THEN MICHIGAN FOR A LITTLE BIT! AND THAT BRINGS US TO NOW! WE HAVE BEEN IN SOUTHERN UTAH SINCE 2022 AND WE ABSOLUTELY LOVE IT! WE HAVE THREE PETS: FINNLEY, EMMY-LOU, AND INDY WHO HAVE MADE ALL OF THESE BIG MOVES WITH US AND WE LOVE THEM SO MUCH!

I have always been a nostalgic, loving listening to the same stories my grandparents would tell of their childhood again and again or looking through pictures of when my parents were teenagers, crazy 80’s hair and all. And I just always ate that up. I think that’s because at the end of the day, what we have is memories. Our memories made with our loved ones are so important! It’s what shapes us and what we often lean on when times are tough.

So to me, that is what makes photography so incredibly important. It’s a tangible way to bottle up your memories so you can hold on to them forever. Because your wedding day goes by in a flash. Your little ones grow up way too fast. You and your significant other are only young and in love once. The sweet things in life unfortunately don’t last forever but that’s where I come in.

I know your special moments are just that- special. And your love is unique, unlike any other out there. My job is to capture your precious memories as authentically as I can. Although we all want to have a picture or two were everyone is smiling and looking at the camera, I love to embrace the real life. The crazy wind whipping your hair, the wine spilt on your wedding dress from dancing the night away, the dirt on your kids’ faces from a hard day of playing. I want to focus less on what it looks like, and more on what it FEELS like, chaos and all. Because as Ferris Buehler once said: “Life moves pretty fast. If you don’t stop and look around once in a while, you could miss it.”
