A wedding with a view.

When you're an engaged couple who love the outdoors and have access to a literal mountain top for your wedding ceremony, I think it's pretty obvious what you have to do. You get married on top of a mountain. Gabi is a co-worker, turned dear friend of mine and when she asked my to photograph her wedding, it was a very quick "YES!" and then when she told me where she was planning to get married, (James' family's land overlooking the beautiful wooded canyons of Southern Utah) I think I about passed out. The space needed a bit of TLC. Clearing out the view, making trails, and things like that. But James went above and beyond and made all of the wooden benches, the platform, the arbor, arches leading to the ceremony space, and even an outhouse. But wow did all of the hard work pay off! The wedding day was perfect beyond everyone's wildest dreams. In early October, the fall colors were in full swing, the skies were clear, and the guests gave such an outpouring of love over the intimate ceremony.

After the ceremony, I whisked the newly weds away to take some more pictures in the beautiful nearby scenery! We then made our way back down the mountain to the reception space. Then it was party time! If there's one thing we should know about Gabi & James, it's that these two like to laugh and have a good time. So it was very important to them to have a reception that was a full-blown party full of music, booty shaking, and wine splashing. And I think they got just that.

Gabi & James' wedding day was so special and I will forever feel so honored to have captured it for them! Congratulations to Mr. & Mrs. Lundgren!
